What to look for in an answer:
You are looking for the interviewee’s creativity and ability to innovate, and also their ability to overcome resistance to change. You are looking to see if the interviewee has the persuasion skills to convince their team or can read the receptiveness of the team enough to know when to back off.
Red Flags to Watch For:
If the interviewee appears to not be innovative, that is not necessarily a red flag, but it would not be what you are looking for. On the opposite end, if the interviewee is oppressive with innovation, and moves without considering the downsides of innovation or the legitimate concerns of others, that is a red flag.
